Work with me

Freelance writing & radio interviews:

Modern parenthood, mid-life madness, teenagers and faith are all things I love to reflect on.  Growing up with bereavement is another area based on my own experience of losing a sister when we were teenagers.

I am a regular writer for London Institute of Contemporary Christianity for their Connecting with Culture page which has led to subsequent radio interviews with UCB radio.  Click here for my latest LICC post.

I have had several of my posts featured in, including two Op Eds last year on Teen Girl Stress and the General Election.

My post How do You Tell the Children? Talking to your kids about terrorism was picked up by Premier Christianity magazine and put on their blog, whilst also being used as a topic for discussion on their sister radio station on Tuesday 18th November 2015.

If you like what I write and would like to commission me to write a reflective, factual or opinion piece about issues related to parenting, family life, mid-life or schooling please contact me.

Specialist non-fiction:

I have a wealth of experience in writing reports and research publications on humanitarian and international development issues.  The most recent book I commission-edited and co-wrote can be bought from by clicking here or you can download excerpts here.

I also have experience in living and working in Africa.

Reviews & PR Policy

I am happy to write reviews or advertorials/sponsored posts but only if they fit with my blog theme and my family.  Honesty and integrity are key aspects of this blog.  Where I have written a post andI have received payment, it is clearly marked as written “in collaboration with”.

My children are aged 10 (boy) and 12 (girl). We love the outdoors, visiting new places, books, football (my son), cycling (husband & son) anything arty (my daughter has won several art competitions), traditional toys (lego, scalectrix, board games, etc) and of course games for the X-Box.  I enjoy reading novels and non-fiction, art, performing vocal concerts with my acapella group, swimming, pilates, coffee and wine.  We are big supporters of Fairtrade products.

Disclaimer:  This is a personal blog and I write about my own personal opinions with mostly my own photos (where they are not mine they will be accredited).

I look forward to hearing from you!
